MUSEUM 588: Leadership in Museums
Course participants will be engaged in a journey of discovery about critical issues facing the museum field and the major theories of leadership that could serve professionals in meeting these new challenges. Important in this exploration is the notion of leadership as a fluid role enacted by individuals across an organization as opposed to the traditional view of leadership residing with those in positions of authority. Participants will investigate how leadership theories inform their current and future practice.
